About Cancer Warriors, Inc.
Cancer Warriors was founded June 2003 by Christina and David Lillig, two parents whose daughter was born on August 28, 2001 with
Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare, aggressive form of cancer and the journey changed their lives forever. We received our 501c3
tax-exempt status July 7, 2004, allowing us to further our mission. For years, Cancer Warriors has been a source of support to
families and children with cancer by providing emotional and financial support through programs and services that allow these families
to be sponsored by caring individuals, schools, churches, businesses, etc. We live our lives as a servant to God by outreaching to the
most courageous families we'll ever meet.
Our Mission:
We aim to serve God by bringing encouragement and emotional support to Georgia's critically needy families with children battling
cancer. Cancer Warriors provides financial assistance to the most financial needy families referred by social workers at Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta throughout the year. In addition, we operate an amazing annual toy drive during the holiday season with the help
of local businesses, and also sponsor the actual wish lists for all children in the family. We are able to raise public awareness and
provide outreach opportunities through everything we offer.
